Welcome to South County Law Group, and thank you for visiting our site. I am Peter Sahin, founding attorney, and I’d like to share what makes South County Law Group unique and different.

My father worked for a large, international engineering firm, so I spent most of my younger years living in different corners of the globe, pretty much wherever the next big civil construction project took us. When my father retired from engineering, we settled in Orange County and grew a successful family business in commercial and residential real estate. Eventually, I became a lawyer so that I could protect our family business and help others like us.

After working at several successful Orange County law firms, I committed myself to building a different kind of firm - one focused on affordable and lasting relationships between lawyer and client. In order to create this kind of relationship with our clients, South County Law Group focuses on service, value and communication.

Service is the primary focus of both our lawyers and staff, beginning with the initial meeting. For business owners, the relationship frequently begins with a comprehensive Value Counsel™ business audit to determine what additional services may be needed, including establishing and maintaining a business entity, ensuring that adequate insurance is in place, human resources/employment compliance, succession planning and intellectual property protections. Our relationships with families often begin with a Wealth Planning Session to determine how best to protect your children and preserve your assets and family wealth which includes who you are and what is most important to you.

Value is the foundation of our fee structure. Most firm’s use only the “billable hour” to charge clients. Unfortunately, it often results in surprises as to what something costs you and discourages open communication and efficient resolution of your affairs by attorneys looking to make their hours. South County Law Group offers clients several flexible options based on their needs and interests. These options include flat fees, task-based fees, fixed monthly membership fees and customized hybrid fee arrangements to fit your needs. Flat fees are agreed to before work begins, so that clients can stick to a budget and avoid surprises. Our task-based and hybrid fees are entirely value based and give clients flexibility where the nature of the work is more variable. Through our very unique and popular fixed fee membership programs, clients can retain counsel for ongoing advice and guidance in important family, business or financial decisions.
